Will cutting out all Carbohydrates out of my diet help me lose weight? Carbohydrates are essential in our diets for everyday functioning. Reducing your daily intake of carbs and choosing the right kinds of carbs may assist you to lose weight but cutting them out all together is not a safe option. The body needs complex carbohydrates such as vegetables, fruit, whole grains and beans. These complex carbs have a low glycemic index (GI) which means that they take longer to digest, making us feel fuller for longer.
