That Desk Is Hurting You!!!

Desk_Stretches-791x1024Continuing on from last week, we know that staying seated in one spot can cause you a lot of issues within the shoulders, back, hips and legs. So it’s important to keep moving, because we want our own body to be working at its best. If we have a think about how much time we spend each day sitting down, it’s not surprising that so many people find it hard to move after a long day at work… even though they were just sitting down.

There is a multitude of stretches that you can do at your desk (which are located in the graphic) but doing these alone will not stop your body from hurting. You need some clean and clear rules to work by… and here they are

  1. Get up every 20min from that dam desk
  2. Move your body every hour (set a timer for it)
  3. Do your stretches each and every day.
  4. Keep your workspace ergonomic
  5. Treat yourself to a massage.

These simple rules will keep your body moving correctly and feeling great!

Wait!!! Before you say I always forget or don’t have time for it… well. Use your phone to schedule break times, (20min timer) within your working day. Book a massage a few weeks in advance and place it into your diary.

You only have one body so don’t waist it!
